Company

GeoVax is a biotechnology company developing human vaccines for diseases caused by HIV-1 (Human Immunodeficiency Virus – AIDS).

Our mission includes developing AIDS vaccines for global markets, manufacturing and testing these vaccines following FDA guidelines, conducting human trials for vaccine safety and effectiveness, and ultimately obtaining regulatory approval of these vaccines in the United States and select international markets.

Our HIV/AIDS vaccine technologies and extensive patent filings evolved over 15 years through a collaboration headed by Dr. Harriet Robinson at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with researchers at the U. S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U. S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In 2001, GeoVax was established to develop and fund these promising vaccine technologies.

Upon concluding all FDA requirements satisfactorily, GeoVax will consider internal manufacture and sales of HIV vaccines. Long term, it is expected that GeoVax will enter agreements to outsource the licensing of our manufacturing technology to major vaccine production companies and distribution rights to key companies in applicable global markets.
