Human Clinical Trials

Human clinical trials (phase 1, 2 and 3) are used to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of our HIV/AIDS vaccines. To date, all clinical trials testing the preventive application of our vaccine have been conducted by the HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN), a network of vaccine trial sites supported by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). Our first therapeutic trial in humans is currently underway and is self-supported.
